The minor pentatonic scale is one of the most useful in popular music. Play any of these notes in the right key and you can't go wrong. Adding the "Blue Note" allows the player to add additional expression and versatility, this is known as the "Blues Scale".
Guitarists call this scale "Playing in the Box," and it's one of the first scales they learn when playing a solo. However, accurately playing this scale on a standard harmonica requires advanced techniques that can take years to master!
