The ORCHESTRA S: As with the chromatic harmonica, all the notes of the major scale are available over a range of two and a half octaves.

This Orchestra offers even more; the fundamental note is usually found in the first blow hole. The Orchestra places the fundamental note on the third blow hole, and half of the lower octave is added to holes 1 and 2. Since many players miss some notes on the standard Richter-tuned diatonic harmonica in the lower register, the Orchestra allows them to hit the missing notes without using a bowing technique. The fundamental note of the diatonic major scale is marked on the cover plate—it begins in the third hole at the blow note.

This makes the Orchestra an ideal solo instrument; the ten-hole design makes the Orchestra-S compact enough to take your melodies anywhere!

The note layout is essentially the same as that of a chromatic harmonica, making the Orchestra a great beginner's harmonica for learning chromatic playing. Its compact size, combined with SEYDEL's durability, makes this harmonica a good choice for music education in schools, among other places.
