The bass-chord harmonica is mainly used in harmonica orchestra ensembles and is larger than a regular harmonica. Due to the multiple reeds, the sound is full and powerful. The chord harmonica should be used together with the bass harmonica during a performance; it plays a stable role in the band.

When playing bass-chords on the harmonica, the emphasis is on rhythm. It plays a connecting and communicative role between the melody and the bass. It is very expressive. The player must fully utilize their playing skill and style and flexibly and skillfully control the melody and rhythm of the music.

These are two harmonicas connected side-by-side, also incorporating a hinge mechanism, allowing the harmonicas to be adjusted at an angle relative to each other.

Variable arrangement: The chord arrangement can be adjusted by swapping the reed plates, see video below.
