The Lucky 8 is a compact pocket model of the standard blues harmonica, with the last two holes omitted. As a result, this harmonica contains 2.5 octaves of chords, ideal for blues music. The instrument features the well-known Richter tuning, but what makes this model so unique?
The Lucky 8 is specially designed for 'cupping' (wah effect), where you cup your hands behind the harmonica. This makes it ideal for adding hand effects and perfect for use with a microphone. Thanks to the ergonomically shaped lids, one hand can fully grip the harmonica, while the other hand remains free for cupping.
The holes in the comb are round, and the reed plates are recessed into the body of the comb, ensuring a compact, airtight construction. This model comes with a lanyard and a storage pouch.
