1847 CLASSIC in PowerBender-Tuning - a new universal 10-hole diatonic for traditional and modern music styles.

The 1847 CLASSIC PowerBender, a harmonica that impresses with innovation yet meets all traditional demands - a master instrument for maximum ambitions with super airtight design and SEYDEL's unique stainless steel reeds.

The PowerBender tuning builds on the best parts of the traditional Richter tuning, while changing the scale to make the real juicy and important tones much easier to get across the entire three-octave range.

-Same familiar breathing pattern in upper-middle registers. All draw notes bend everywhere, holes 1-10!
-In the half valve version, a mix of normal pull bends and valve blow bends gives full chromaticity. Brendan plays PowerBender with half valve, and recommends it!
-Upper octave easy to play (intuitive) as many well-known phrasing can be taken from the lower octaves
-Easy to play in common positions: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 11th and 12th
If you are interested in playing many different styles of music on a diatonic, the PowerBender is a good choice for you!

1847 CLASSIC in PowerDraw Tuning : Same as normal in holes 1-6, but it really makes you wail in the upper register!

The 1847 CLASSIC PowerDraw, a harmonica that combines tradition and innovation. With its super airtight design and SEYDEL's unique stainless steel reeds, this harp really shows its expressive potential throughout the range in PowerDraw tuning. Think of it as the Big Six Plus!

PowerDraw tuning is easy to learn because:

-The main part of the harp (holes 1-6) remains exactly the same, so there is no need to relearn anything.
-The breathing pattern from holes 1-6 (blow reed low, pull reed high in each hole) is maintained through hole 10 on the PowerDraw. This immediately gives the upper octave a familiar feeling to anyone who tries it, as the techniques and riffs that work so well lower down also work up there (click "Tone Table" above).
-Simplified Technique: No punch bends and no overdraws are needed when tuning PowerDraw. Two of the main 'blue' bills in 2nd position (the flat third, which was overblown 6) and the flat fifth (overdraw 7) are now simple draw turns on holes 7 and 8.
-Each draw note bends from hole 6-10, soulful and easy! In a valveless setup, every hole overblows, and overblowing the upper octave is much easier than the overdraws required in Richter's tuning.
-PowerDraw works well with the chord-octave approach of tongue blockers. The notes in the upper octave are similar to Richter, but the intervals are different. Since the chord split sounds nice and inv key, it's easy to adjust.
-The PowerDraw works great in other positions too, especially Third (nice usable bends in the upper octave), Fifth (good expression in the upper part), Second Position Minor (no need to overblow to get the flat 3rd), Eleventh and Twelfth (great expression in the upper octave).

If you're already comfortable playing holes 1-6 on Richter diatonic (or you're playing our BIG SIX model), the PowerDraw is a great choice for you!
