Easttop Chromatic Forerunner 2.0
Easttop Forerunner 2.0 - Easttop's popular chrome model and this is the main reason:
No windsavers!
Orderable keys are available directly from stock, in approx. 1 working day.
For years, chromatic harmonica players have primarily complained about one issue with chromatic harmonicas: sticking windsavers (notes that get stuck or popping sounds). Now, some harmonicas suffer from this more than others, and the player themselves plays a role in this as well—some simply play with more moisture in their mouths than others—but temperature fluctuations and wear are also major contributing factors.
Easttop designed this model for these reasons: the Forerunner, and this is the improved version, the 2.0.
(more airtight, slider system has been improved, slider operates quieter and smoother)
This is a chromatic harmonica without wind savers, but what are the advantages and disadvantages?
Advantages compared to a chromatic harmonica with wind savers:
- Sticky windsavers are a thing of the past!
- No popping sounds
- No loose windsavers
- Less temperature sensitive
- Suitable for players with a lot of moisture in their mouths
- Extremely suitable for players starting from a diatonic harmonica
- Extremely suitable as a practice harmonica
- It is possible to bend tones!
- The price is more attractive
Disadvantages compared to a chromatic harmonica with windsavers:
- The volume is lower
- The harmonica has a slightly more bluesy sound, like a diatonic harmonica.
For which players is this model suitable?
- Players who are used to diatonic harmonicas.
- Players who generally play a bit harder
- Players who play with a lot of fluid in their mouths
- Players looking for a harmonica with a chromatic tone division as a practice instrument that is reliable to use.
- Players who want a chromatic tone layout but want to retain the bluesy sound of a diatonic harmonica and continue bending notes.
For which players is this model less suitable?
- Players looking for a harmonica that responds instantly to the smallest amounts of air
- Players who primarily play, for example, classical music with crystal-clear tones
- Players who have no experience whatsoever playing the harmonica.
For many players, this harmonica has proven to be a godsend, and for its price, it is certainly worth a try. This is the improved model with a beautiful bridge, solid construction, airtight slider system, a smoothly functioning, silent slider, beautiful black looks, and thanks to its moon-shaped mouthpiece, it also fits well in the mouth.
